How does the referral process work?
If you've been referred by a family who sails with us, they will connect us directly — usually by a brief message or personal introduction. From there, I reach out personally to arrange a conversation. There's no application, no form. Just a conversation.
How do I know if a Serea voyage is right for my family?
Every voyage we design is fully bespoke — built around your family, your destinations, and how you like to travel. We work with families across a wide range of budgets and group sizes. The conversation always starts the same way: tell us what you're imagining, and we'll tell you honestly what's possible. There's no commitment in that first conversation.
We've never sailed before. Is this for us?
Almost all of our families are not sailors. Your captain and crew handle everything. Your only responsibility is to decide which cove you'd like to swim in next.
Can you design a voyage for very young children?
Yes — and we do it well. We've designed voyages for children as young as 18 months. We select yachts with appropriate safety features and crews who genuinely love being around young families.
How far in advance should we plan?
For peak Mediterranean summer, we recommend beginning conversations 6-9 months in advance. Shoulder season can often be arranged within 3–6 months. The earlier we speak, the more beautifully we can design.
Do you only sail the Mediterranean?
The Mediterranean is our primary canvas — it is where we know the light, the winds, and the hidden places most deeply. But we also design voyages in Indonesia, along the Amazon, and in the Sea of Cortez for families ready for something more extraordinary.
